About East Athenaeum

This site is safe for work and family except for this page under Noise and in the Hallowenaeum, so my sense of style and humor is not littered all over everything else. It serves as a simple information and resource website, meant to be educational for subjects about which I am passionate. All external links provided are credible and safe.

The color theme and background image are based on the Butters profile picture above. That exists because this site started as an independent profile page separate from social media display limitations. I use that picture for all my accounts and link them here. With a desire to share projects online, the site became about information, so this page is intentionally pushed into the background.

On some pages you will see credit given to Revan Rose East, who has become instrumental to the site, given her editing and our discussions. She sometimes heads pages, as will be indicated by the order of our names. Because of that, it is now our website and we are proud to work together. Both our names are aliases and we choose to remain anonymous.

East Athenaeum went online Feb. 1, 2023, was built from the ground up, and it is always a work in progress. For our third year, we have developed an efficient system of notes which has allowed us to be more mindful of when to edit pages and what to add. We still have a few unfinished pages (indicated with 🔧), and will continue to add more as ideas come to us.

Demographic/Related

Born in George Orwell's 1984. Do the math. I don't believe in pseudo-science, but am an INTJ & a Libra for anyone who cares.

Half Italian, half Portuguese fourth generation US male citizen.

Average height & build with dark hair & beady dark brown eyes. I have been told I am terrifying and my eyes go black with yellow specks when enraged.

I wear a lot of black because black is a comfortable color for me to wear, and besides, it is fashionable. Not goth, but I do love goth culture.

I believe respect is automatic until lost, so I am respectful to everyone until they have proven to me they don't deserve it.

Worldview

Pantheistic dual-aspect monism (often blurred terms) is the closest label to slap on me. In other words, space, time, mass, energy, and consciousness are all the same thing (cosmos) with different perceptible properties. I call it either cosmos or divinity, but avoid using the G word because of its negative connotation.

Indeterminism, because quantum mechanics. This is not mutually a free will argument, though I do believe in free will and that the future is not written (both contrary to typical pantheism).

Everyone is divinely born with rights, which are truly neither granted nor taken away by others.

Everyone has the right to be, do, and experience as they wish, barring harassment and harm to others.

Everyone must be respected as equals with equal value, regardless of who or what they are.

It is important for one's spirit to be both a scholar and a warrior.

It is our duty as individuals to know ourselves, question everything, and contribute socioeconomically.
